TECHNICAL STUFF
This is intended for IT staff who have been asked to evaluate
what we do and how we do it against your existing technical
platform (so if you don't understand a word of it, don't
worry - this is someone else's bag).
We usually code in PHP and MySQL using CSS designs where
possible. Our hosting is done in a LAMP environment, and
our CMS of choice is WordPress.
We don't code using Active Server Page (ASP) technologies,
so if you need someone for a legacy project using ASP, we're
afraid we can't help you.
Where we do e-commerce projects, we use the CubeCart, OS
Commerce
or Zen Cart platforms.
Our hosting set-up supports CGI, Fast CGI, PHP 5, Ruby
on Rails, Perl, Python and SSI, with such modules as Curl,
CPAN, GD Library, and Image Magick.
By purchasing certified Renewable Energy Credits, our servers
are 130% wind powered, so we're not just neutralising our
environmental impact, we're reversing it.
We will only do hosting and maintenance for web sites we
have built ourselves, as if we haven't built it, we're not
likely to give an effective depth of support to you for
your site.
We are happy to hand over the keys to the web sites we've
built for you to host and support on other ISPs yourself,
but will only be able to give limited technical support
for environments which we don't run and control ourselves.
